Storm Damage AC Repair in Southwest Florida
After a hurricane or tropical storm, your air conditioner can be damaged by wind, flying debris, flooding or power surges. Restarting a damaged system before it is inspected can cause more harm, and electrical damage is not always visible from the outside.
Our post-storm assessment checks the outdoor unit, the pad and tie-downs, electrical disconnects and wiring, refrigerant lines and the indoor air handler. If equipment was submerged, we will tell you honestly whether it can be repaired or needs to be replaced.
We also help with documentation of the damage, including photos and written findings you can share with your insurance company.

Should I turn my AC back on right after a storm?
If the outdoor unit was underwater, has visible damage or you smell burning, leave it off at the breaker and have it inspected first. Running damaged equipment can make the problem worse or create a safety hazard.
Can a flooded AC unit be saved?
Sometimes. It depends on how high the water rose, whether it was salt water and how long the unit was submerged. Salt water flooding usually means replacement. We will inspect the unit and give you an honest answer.
Do you help with insurance claims?
We provide photos and written findings that you can share with your insurance company. Coverage decisions are made by your insurer.
How can I protect my AC before a hurricane?
Turn the system off at the breaker before the storm arrives, clear loose items from around the unit and make sure the condenser is secured to its pad. Do not wrap the unit in plastic for long periods, which traps moisture.
